I can't recommend this course enough! It has been a game-changer for me in learning how to make clay cutters. Alex and Catherine are incredibly helpful and attentive, and their tutorials are clear and easy to follow. Thanks to their guidance and continued support, I’ve been able to bring my ideas to life in ways I never imagined. After months of practice and really diving into all the techniques, I’m now selling my own cutters, have invested in a second printer, and have already made back more than the cost of the course. If you’re considering this course, go for it—you won’t be disappointed!
-Kaitlyn owner of Kate Haven Clay Co
Kaitlyn went through our Intro to 3D Printing clay cutters first and then went through our Fusion course and we are so glad to have her! Check out more of her work here!
Alicia went through our beginner course and very rapidly went through our Fusion 360 course (less than a week!!) She is now encouraging others in our member communities and designing products that help solve problems within the polymer clay earring craft. She has been amazing us with her new skills and we look forward to seeing her new makes every week!
Do I need prior experience with Fusion 360 to take this course?
Not at all! This course is designed for both beginners and experienced users. We’ll walk you through the software step-by-step so you can confidently design your own tools.
Should I take the Intro to 3D Printing Clay Cutters Course First?
If you are brand new to 3D printing we recommend getting the Intro course first. We don't teach 3D printing basics in this course. We always release a discount code in the Intro Course Facebook group for this Fusion course when doors open if you decide you want to take that course first!
What tools or equipment will I need for this course?
You’ll need access to Fusion 360 (there’s a free version available for personal use), a computer, and a 3D printer to bring your designs to life. You'll also probably want a cheap set of calipers but it's not a must have.
How long will I have access to the course?
You’ll get lifetime access, including any updates and new content added in the future! No subscription here!
What’s included in the private Facebook community?
The private community is a space where you can share ideas, ask questions, and connect with other makers. It’s a supportive environment to inspire and grow together. We also frequently update, ask for feedback, and get new resource ideas from within the group first.
Can I really request additional content?
Yes! We value your feedback and are always open to adding content that aligns with the needs of our students.
Is this course suitable for polymer clay beginners?
Absolutely! Whether you’re just starting with polymer clay or have been creating for years, this course will help you design tools that will take your craft to the next level!
Do you include slicer settings in this course?
We include .2 and .3 nozzle clay cutter slicer settings for the bambu a1 mini but it is applicable to several printers and we do help students find the perfect settings for their printers if they need help!
Do I need a specific type of 3D printer for this course?
Nope! The designs you create in Fusion 360 will work with most 3D printers. We do recommend Bambu's A1 mini though for anyone looking for an excellent budget printer for clay cutters and tools.
What kinds of tools will I learn to make?
You’ll learn to create clay cutters, texture rollers, stencils, organizers, and more! The possibilities are endless once you master the techniques.
Can I sell the cutters and tools I design using this course?
Yes, you can! Many of our students use their designs to create products for their small businesses - for earrings or for their clay cutter shops!
What if I have questions while taking the course?
We’ve got you covered! You’ll have access to our private community and you can message us on the site, email us, or find us on IG!
